I purchased a two little fish Phosban reactor and will start running that for sure with my new tank setup. I am also considering running carbon as well. Is it possible to run both of these in the same reactor or is it best to run seperatly?

I also see many people running RDSB and i would like to use this same idea but put it in one of these reactors as well. Sand has such a large surface area that it would provide great filtration. Is this a good idea or will it cause spikes in the system? Also if i do this what size and type sand should i use?

Thanks for your opinions!!!!!!!!!

Also what you describe is called a fluidized bed filter. I use the lifereef fluidized filters as phosban and carbon reactors.

Thanks for answering my questions. Also would a fluidized bed filter with sand do any good or is it a waste?

Thanks
