I am getting a new magnificent foxface for my new 180. I've heard they may nip at zoas. Anyone with similiar experieces?
My zoas are in the garage right now. and I am still debating if I want to keep them or if I want to move in a different direction. Will a 3.5" magnificent foxface be the end of my softies?
Stay tuned
Thanks for you feedback

I had 2 different fox faces, they typical yellow with black and the scribbled or penciled. they both never touched the zoos.
Ian also has a large foxface with zoos and it dosn't touch em. I think with any fish, keep it fed or else it'll turn to the next easiest thing to pick on.

I also have had the typical yellow with black and never noticed any signs of nipping

I had an orange spot rabbitfish (siganus guttatus) that mowed down all of the macroalgae in my tank. Even feeding the tanks several times a day, he was always hungry, and he eventually mowed down every last scrap of zoa material in there. Kind of like an aquatic horse, always grazing, always pooping.
Not the same fish, but the same family.

I have a large one that does not touch the Zoas. But any day, he could turn...

I once had a siganus doliatus(scribbled rabbit) that was a zoa munching machine.
In the three days he was in my tank before I could get him out he annihilated several colonies. Once he would start ont hem he would tear them apart until that colony was gone and move on to the next.

I have heard of instances of them taking a liking to zoo poop or slime. Once they get a taste of it, its over. but luckily me I never had problems in a 100 full of colonies and frags.
