The back wall of my 125 is completely encrusted with a thick layer of coraline algea. If i go to town and scrape all of it off, will this do any harm to water quality? I will try to use a net and remove the most i can.

please advice, thanks!

No need to remove it off the back wall either....it is actually good to have it as it keeps other types of algae forming on the tank walls

why would you want to get rid of it? I would love to have that problem.

Wait until your scrubbing it off the front of the tank a couple times a week as well. ;) I was all stoked to start getting coraline back when I started, not so much now. :D

Letting it fall in the tank will cause no harm other then that it might spread.

Because i like that super clean look with all the glass spotless. Also the corals pop more agains the black background. All my rock is 150% encrusted in coraline ... WAY too much purple

If you do scrape it and net it out,bag some in a little water and ship it to me! I'll pay the shipping and for your supplies.
