I had to temporarily relocate my ro/di unit from where it was and have not used my 55 gallon storage tank for a few months..I have only been making 7 gallons at a time at the temporary location (or as many as I can in a day)...yadda yadda....anyhow, my question is, now that I am ready to move the ro/di unit back to my storage tank...whats the best cleaning method to make sure its "clean"?

Hydrocloric acid + reg tap water and run a pump in it for a few days?

wash it down w/ bleach and a small amount of ro/di water?

letting it dry totally for a day or two after in the sun?

Thanks for any help

I just use that product they call the 20 mule team with hose water. I think its borax, but I could be wrong with the name. Get a brush and brush it out with the 20 mule team and water, then rinse it out with hose water and wipe it down with a towel.

Of course I have cut a small hole in the top of my drum so if yours does not have a hole, I dont know what to tell ya.

I suspect it's already clean. If it's just an open vat, I might rinse it a bit.
