Thanks for you insight. What are you feeding your corals? Also, I have been advised to put the acan lords in low light. It's fairly difficult to feed these corals as I have a 400 gallon reef tank with a fairly heavy fish load and the fish go after the food while feeding the corals. That even happens at night.

My nitrates are about 50. Could that cause the corals to struugle to live?

I might start them in lower-medium light (like any coral thats newly introduced) but definitely most of the Aussies I have look best under medium-strong light. I grow mine 10" under DE 250 bulbs (14K hamiltons). They are in about 4-5" of water so they are getting ALOT of light.

Your nitrates are def high. I dont know what that will do....probably will brown most corals up at least if it doesnt kill them outright.

As for feeding them, try feeding them after the fish have eaten. Or use a cutoff soda bottle top to cover the coral and turkey-baste the food through the opening. Leave it in place for 10-15' and your corals will have time to eat in peace.
