Put an airline tube in there -- make sure the end of it is at the top of the U-tube and start to suck out the air.

I think I get it. I understand that if I suck the water through that it will keep flowing, but there is simply no way to get anything in there to get it going, I dunno Ill have to mess with it I guess. thanks for the help.

You have to remove the U-tube to get the air line in there. BUT, you should ( and have to ) keep the U-tube in place as you pull out the air line. May take a couple of tries to get it to work, but once you've done it, it is really easy to do.

Also, make sure that when you shut off your main pump that the U-tube doesn't loose its siphon. I had that problem with my Eshopps on my 29, had to add a piece of PVC to the in tank side of the U-tube to make it longer.

What was the water level in the tank? That sounds like you just need to lower the box inside the tank a little.

Thanks, but that isn't the issue. There is a design flaw with the tube itself. One side needs to be longer, but they are both equal lengths.

I remember back in the 90's those were called "J" tubes. I have not seen one in years though, seems like they are all "U" tubes now.
