OK the problem is that I have been able to see the top of something sticking out of my zoas since I put them in my tank. I thought it kind of looked like aptasia but really could not see well because the zoas were all opened up. So I decided to wait until lights out and check things out with a flashlight when the zoas were all closed. And sure enough it looks like I have a bit of aptasia in there. I cant get a pic because you can only see it with lights out. SO my question is what is the best way I can kill it without hurting my zoas? The photo below shows where it is at.

I've used peppermint shrimp several times. They work like a charm. You may never see them once you add them to your tank. But, with in days, you'll notice aiptaisias are long gone!

Here is an updated pic. I think you can clearly see it even though the photo is bad. Its the best I could do in the dark with the flash.

Also I do have 2 peppermint shrimp that I added the same day as the Zoas and I have not noticed a difference. Is it possible that they just have not noticed it?

how long have they been in there? 140's alot of space for 2 to cover. I'd just sit tight for now. I had like 3 huge aiptaisias in spots I couldn't reach due to aquascape. I was concerned they'd be too big for the shrimp to get down. But after a week or ten days.....gone.

I'm not saying they are the end-all be-all for aiptaisia control, but they've worked for me everytime I've needed them. I don't have a single aiptaisia in my display.

I use an old hypodermic needle that I got from someone who treats their cat for leukemia. I can be very accurate with the needle without hurting anything else. Usually, one little shot of straight vinegar right into the aptasia does the trick.

They have only been there for a week so I will give it some time. Can the Aptasia hurt my Zoas?
