Hello Nano or Small?

Hey Victor I had sent you a pm but you must of passed by it or just busy.

My new build will consist of a 30x30x16 or 18 . The sump will contain about 15 gallons I would imagine maybe a little more .


I was curious if I should purchase the Nano or the Small conical ? The tankw ill be mainly sps and minimal fish .. 3" purple tang , along with some glass cardinals x 8 ( if I ever happen too find some in the states )

I will be running the balling method or ultralith if that matters , I tend to feed twice a day and a good helping of oyster eggs for the corals.

You might want to see if you can find a store that can order from a trans-shipper or multiple wholesellers. I see glass cardinals (as well as about half dozen other related 'lantern eye' style cardinals) on the importer lists all the time, I think the wholesellers just dont bring them in as much as the more popular ones, thinking they wont sell or something... but they dont sell because nobody brings them in...lol.

As far as the skimmer goes... I dont know... thats pretty in-between. I dont think you could go wrong with either one really.

Yeah I am just going to go with the small once that extra government money comes since I purchased my lighting today , I suppose if it's too much I'll probably only lose about 50 bucks on the deal.

As for the fish , Ive asked and tried I want some so badly . Sadly enough when I went to visit my sister in japan sure enough they were all over the stores . I kept thinking I was looking at tetra's on crack ( because they were swimming around ) and the guy was telling my sister to tell me they were salt water . go figure.



I can't wait until I get the cash for my skimmer :D
