i got the small one first on 3/25 and got the bigger one 3/28
they're both eating mysis and picking at the LR.

I'm really excited. I love these fish!!!

After re-doing my tank i decided to go mainly FO w/the exception of a couple anemones and some softies i have left.

My adult allardi clown punks the larger semilarvatus if it even gets near the nem.

i've been wanting to keep these fish for the last few years but never had a FO tank.

That's a great looking pair and I'd no idea they come into the trade that small. My pair eat everything from frozen, nori, freeze dried plankton, mysis and nips on little bit of pellets. They absolutely loves live mussels and clams.

Did you get your pair from the lfs or online?

Best of luck with your pair.

I got mine from a LFS.

i bought some clams, but i froze them. I'll give 'em a try today or tomorrow. I've been feeding about 3cubes of mysis twice a day along w/flakes and pellets. But my other fish are so fast and aggressive eaters makes it hard for them to get a lot of mysis.

Just give them a week and they will eat like there's no tomorrow. :)

I was over at the lfs and they'd three semis and it range from 1.5-2.5" very cute. I'd to remind myself I don't have anymore room for them.

The first ones color's look blotchy and the fins are frayed. Keep an eye out for flukes.

Semi's are pretty cool.

can you freshwater dip for flukes?
i dipped all my fish for 5mins and did a very short hypo qt for 3 days.

If you FW dipped them for 5 minutes and nothing fell off then you probably don't have flukes. Hypo only works on ich and only if you do it for 4-6 weeks.

as for ich, i didnt think i needed to do the 4-6weeks bc there's always ich in my tank since i didnt hypo my first few fish.

It comes and goes on my powder blue, ich doesnt seem to affect any of my other fish though.

Those are awesome! So they are 100% NON-coral friendly?

Well, it's hard to say. I've only had them a few days and when they get bigger they may aquire a taste for corals. But as of now they've only picked at zoos, and a couple nips at my softies, i dont think they liked it so they dont nip at the softies anymore. As for anemones, my clownfish punks them so they dont get near it.
