I have some of the same stuff, it has like a breathing hole on it. Mine is in a crack of a rock. I would like to know this too. (It looks like mine kinda) Is your semi clear, like gel cotton candy? haha

its kinda slimey, and i tried to pull it off but its kinda hard being that its down between the polyps.

White and stringy? Possibly a fungus. Rare, but possible.

when i point my 10000 candle wat light at it at night, i can see little black dots on the inside of it, and there look to be some small 1/16 holes in it

I cant see any poylps open. Is this normal? Whats used for flow in this tank?How long have you had them and what type of food is added in this tank?

ive had them for 6mon or so, they rock they are on was dead base rock. i dont even think it was from SW


i put kent phytoplex in the tank, i just starting using DT's today.


and no the closed polyps arnt normal, but some of them open over the course of the day. this is the reason im now posting about it

They would like more meater food like cyclops or same size type. And higher flow look here.

I'm gonna bump because I have the same stuff growing on some rock and am curious to see if anyone knows what it is. I'll try to post some pics this afternoon.
