i am looking at my clowns and i noticed they cleaned off a spot on the tile and i looked at the female belly to see if she had eggs. but it wasn't bulging or anything. but i looked at the male and his stomach is bulging a lot. is it possible for the male to be bigger?

your male is your female and your female is your male

Females are a always bigger in clownfish.

Not always -- for the longest time ( couple of years ) my female and male clarkii were the same size. If it wasn't for the different tails wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. Now she is slowly getting bigger than him. I have had them for 7+ years.

i know it is not uncommon for clarki to be the same size. try not feeding for about two or three days, he might just have a belly full of food.

that's just a good way to see if a fish is full of eggs or food (but remember to fill his belly back up with food!)
