Hello everyone! This is my first time posting to the forum and I am new to reef keeping. Roughly five years ago I kept several aquariums mostly freshwater (Discus, Angels, etc.), so I know a descent amount about water chemistry, etc. Like I said though, I haven't kept any coral before so a lot of this is new to me.
The first thing on my to-do list is locate and purchase an aquarium. I am currently looking at these: http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=46
Does anyone have thoughts on this company or suggestions for a better one? I am thinking I would like a tank in the 72 x 18 x 12 size range. Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

glasscages is a good cheap place for tanks but some ppl have stated they are very rude, some ppl have gotten great tanks from them and some their tanks have worked well but the sylicone looked like crap. so it is a chance i guess.
btw [welcome]

I'm not sure of their quality specifically but on craigslist.com I picked up a used 120 Oceanic for nearly nothing. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for a bargain

12" depth is VERY shallow if you plan on having LR and you want flexibility with your aquascaping. 72" length is sweet though.
From what Ive heard about glass cages, they make great tanks for the price. Craftsmanship is hit or miss, but overall they are very good.

That's interesting. Who would you recommend? I really like the rimless look on their tanks.

Sorry, I copied and pasted the wrong measurements. The actual size I am looking at is 48 x 18 x 24 .

I also found these guys http://www.aquariumsforyou.com/Products.html
They look like they do a very good job, but I am guessing they will be expensive.

if your looking for new try to bargin with a local fish store there is markup like crazy on tanks and if your looking for used try craigslist you can find a great deal. also try looking in the reefclub fourms on here and find a chapter local to you and just read through some post to find what your looking for

Thats a standard 90G. I would just get an AGA or Perfecto. Easy to find new and used.
