My canister filter developed a pinhole sized leak where the impeller spins at the bottom of the "housing."

I tried using some super glue gel and it leaked like I thought it would. Anyways, I'm uncertain of the substance that it is made up of and was wondering what, if anything, could seal a leak since it's under a little water pressure?

I also have an acrylic hang-on type skimmer that has developed a leak where two seams come together. I tried silicone, which I was pretty certain wasn't going to work and it didn't let me down. Any ideas?

Sledge hammer?

Can you purchase a new housing from Marineland? They usually have all sorts of replacement parts available?

edit - Why yes you can, $35.00
