Ive had my reef set-up now for just over 6 weeks and so far, so good! Just thought I would start a thread to record my progress and share it with you guys!
*Set-up Specs:
20gal long DT
30lbs LR
Caribsea Aragamax
HOB Filter with filter sponge and 2 bags of carbon
2x Koralia Nanos
Nova Extreme 36"(156watts) light unit
15gal sump
Current USA Skimmer(rated at 110gal)
15lbs LR
2 bags of chemi-pure
Rio1100 return
300watt heater
*LiveStock
CleanUp Crew(+/-20 snails, hermits and 2 cleaner clams)
No fish yet
Various zoa frags
2 Green Florida Rics
1 Green mushroom(need positive ID)
2 GSP frags
1 Red Acan Frag(3 heads)
few pieces of Xenia
Kenya tree frag
1 Red Mushroom(1 baby)
1 small toadstool leather
1 Pink Haitin Anenome
i know its early for a nem but i got it for free! its doing fine so far but if it does not continue doing well i will send it to a better home!
*Im currently dosing using Seachem Reefpacks(Fundamentals, Enhancer) and kalk. Doing 10% water changes weekly with Reef Crystals!
One problem..i have some algae on the back of my tank(typical of a new tank) and its turning my water a murky/green color! Im running carbon in the HOB filter. Will that take care of the problem or should i be doing more?
