I have learned my lesson with the 2.5g Minibow that my brother gave me for Christmas after killing almost $75 worth of small fish. After doing quite a bit of reading I am thinking about investing in a larger tank. From what I have read the Current USA Aquapod 24g seems like a good tank for a beginner. I am looking at getting the Hydor KORALIA Nano 265gph 3.5W Reef Pump. I need suggestions for what is a good skimmer to use in a nano tank, TUNZE Nano Doc or Current USA Fission Nano is what was been recommended by my local dealer. I have a local shop to buy the liverock and substrate from. I am buying all of the tank equipment through www.aquarium-supply.biz, my question is what else should I order to get started? I really appreciate all of the suggestions and advice from more experienced people. Thanks in advance!

Not sure about the skimmer and all of that, but the one thing I would say is def go with the Sunpod MH light fixture, that way you don't just have to upgrade later. I wish I had the 24 gal instead of the 12.

The koralina isn't going to be big enough. You need the larger model at least the 400 I currently run the 600. You really don't need a skimmer if you do regular water changes.
