I have 3 now but I am considering 1 more perhaps a carpet.
but I am thinking if I do that then I should remove the polishing pad so they get the most of the micro food stuff.
Do anemonies eat fish that are already dead?

What are the 3 that you have right now? Are they different species?
What type of lights do you have?
What type of carpet? gigantea, haddoni, or mertensii?
4 anemones in a 55 ( unless BTA clones ) is a bad idea in my opinion. Really think that you need to slow down. See a few pictures of your tank, seems like it is still fairly new, and has a high bio-load.

The tank could use some more live rock.

More live rock might be good, but really need to have you answer the questions above before your question can be answered.

I'd say 4 is a bit much for a 55. lets see a pic of ur tank. Maybe you could trade in one for a different one.
