i read so much on refugiums i got lost and confused on how much flow i shoiuld have in the fuge.

should i pipe my return so the water drains into the bottom, of the refugium not the top?

should i have very little water draing into the refugium and a power head or just have all my flow from the drainni the refugium?
its like 50 gallon refugium

nice setup the flow depends on two factors
if using the fuge for producing a greater number and variety of copopods then the flow should be very flow----about 1/8 as the flow through the sump itself

if using the fuge for nitrate and phosphate reduction then you want a much higher flow through it so more of the water column is exposed to the chaeto.

Have you read the material on this thread---would love you to post the above picture there
