algae odd?!

my tank has been up for almost 4months now.....and is it strange i have like almost no algae at all? it just doesnt seem to grow my rocks are like almost picked totally clean.....

i use ro/di and reef crystals as far as my tank chem goes....

is this normal for the first year or so?

wow that sounds great because my tanks been up and running for about 3 months and i'm battling lots of algae now count your blessings

yeah i honestly wish some algae would grow!!? ugh...

I never had algae other than diatoms when the cycle was over, and bubble algae. I didn't get any hair algae or cyanobacteria. I think if you have good nutrient export from the beginning, you may never see some of the common algaes.
