Okay, I'm not going to be able to afford the Sunpod for now and more importantly the wife vetoed the idea of going topless on our BC29 so my question is this, would you see more coral growth if I got 4 new 10k bulbs or would you go with two 10k's and two actinics? I kinda like the idea of actinics as I can have them on a timer to come on earlier then the 10k's but I have never tried a completely 10k bulb selection and if it is better for the coral growth I might try it this time.

All 10K will be very yellow. I have 1 10K, 2 actinics and 1 50/50 on my nanocube 12

All 4 10K will give you better coral grow than 50/50 actinics and 10k. It will make your tank more white than the blue look you get with actinics. Actinics are more for looks than anything else.

I would try 3 10k and 1 actinic and see if you like the look of that. It should also give you better growth than a 50/50 mix.
