Seriously, why is this so hard? I need to catch a little yellowtail and he is making it impossible. Short of tearing up all the rock, advice?

i caught my damsel using 2 nets, chasing him with one and he swam in the other. i got lucky, took like 2 months to get him. i even tried small fish hooks and a spear

No it's a show on DateLine MSNBC. "To Catch a Damsel" Chris Hansen hosts it. Pretty good actually.

You then place the food in the back of the trap and wait =D

I got him! used my hand, a small net, and a net as deep as the tank. There will never be another damsel in my tank.

make large hole in bottom of tank and hold big net under hole. let water run into sump.

he will eventually pass through net.

then plug with high quality cork.

I tried to drop a quarter stick of dynamite down the hole he was hiding in but he swam out and it just blew the rock across the room into the big screen.

Ok you will like this one... I tryed to catch my blue damsel for two month.. no joke spear (rubber band powered).
I was sitting in the living room one day, and saw something on the floor moving. Strange I thought so I got up and walked over and looked and lo and behold it was the damsel "HE JUMPED OUT" so what do you think I did??? I freaked out picked it back up and put it back in the tank!!!!!!!!!!!! Reaction I guess. I did catch him weeks later using a trap. Make me laugh NOW.

man you know what, i was siphoning water out of my tank one day and i had to leave for a minute and left the tube siphoning, when i came back the damsel was inside the tube stuck trying to swim out.. i made the mistake of letting him out, and now hes been digging in my sand covering up my SPS corals. what a mistake it was letting him out

Try to starve it, dont feed it for about 2-3 days. Put your net in the water first, and hold it there for 1 minute with out moving. Then slowly put your food near it, then when its close to it, scoop that baby up like there's no tomarow.
