Joe's Juice works great but you can also use something that is cheaper and also works great for making Kalk. Pickling Lime can be found in just about any grocery store or WalMart in the canning dept.

Mix it with RO/DI water to the consistency of toothpaste and inject it directly into and on the anemone with those plastic medicine syringes. This works great for Aiptasia as well.

Pickling Lime mixed at 2 tbsp per gallon of RO/DI water, shaken up and the left to settle is Kalk water than can be used to drip to keep your Alk/Ca balanced. This should be used for most of your top off water as well...unless you have other supplemental sources.

The ones in my tank had red bodies and white tentacles and multiplied quicker than I could identify them. I cut back on feeding and invested in peppermint shrimp. I also got a butterfly fish (not reef safe) who ate them :) but also ate the small feather dusters on my rock :( ). Between the shrimp & butterfly, they were gone within a week. Try the shrimp.

From my own personal experience - my 3 peppermint shrimp didn't touch the majanos but chowed the aiptasia. Maybe I got defective shrimp. :p

Could have been the butterfly. He didn’t seem to notice them for the 1st week he was in there, but shortly after I put the shrimp in they were just about gone. There's still 2 or 3 bigger ones left I have to get. They were so bad, little clear ones would float around if I changed the direction of the power head.
