I'm about to purchase either a 2x65 watt PC w/ blue LEDs or a 4x65 watt PC w/ blue LEDs for my 29 gallon I just started. I'm very new to all of this and was wondering if $250 for the 4x65 is a good deal, and if $105 for the 2x65 was a good deal. I would like to put corals in my tank and would not want to have to upgrade in 6 months.
with the 2x65 I would get about 4.5 wpg and about 9wpg with the 4x65
I would plan on using 3 10k white light bulbs and 1 blue light in the 4x65 fixture if I got it. What exactly is the benefit to using the blue light besides it being more pleasing to the human eye?
