i have a big rock covered in star polyps and in the last few days ive noticed that a small section of the polyps havnt been coming out, and the mat isnt a purple but instead a white color, all my other much more difficult corals have been doing fine. Does anyone know why the mat would be turning white? is that sectiosn dead? and if so shoudl i cut that part out?

THANKS

Where is it turning white? My GSP mat turns white around the edges when it is starting to grow. Whenever it grows across a rock or moves close to another coral it is white at the edges. This seems to last only a couple of days then turns dark purple.

mine were growing great for a while then i put a leather about 6inchs away and was blocking most of the flow the polyps stopped coming out then the mat truned white for a few day then started to disssolve into nuthing when i moved the leather and put go flow on the mat they came back so i belive the more flow the better
