Tagging along here... There were some on my cheato that I purchased yesterday. I assumed they were aiptasia that had spread off the live rock in the tank. I made the lady pick em off before I bought it.

So do i have to treat it or just pull it off? No horses in tank yet, just the lone goby!!

Looks like aiptasia to me too, especially if it was on caulerpa and then walked onto your glass. Are those a bunch of smaller ones it left behind as it walked?

Definatly looks like aptasia to me. You can injest it with a needle and a chemical from the lfs store but the best thing to do is remove the rock it is on 1st then inject it so that you dont throw off the water balance. Once these get started they will soon take over the tank. My son had it on a piece of rock he bought(didnt see it because it was so small and in a hole) and we had to complete empty the rock from the tank to get rid of it. Took a long time but finally it is gone.

If they are on the glass usually what I do is just take a razor and scrape them off. Or you can just peel them off and flush them or even try to siphon them away.

Theres a few on the rocks but mostly the glass where it shows in the pic. I've been going through tis process with the horse tank very slow. I don't mind waiting but i want to make sure it's not going to effect the goby right now since he's the only one in there. So just take the rocks and scrub them off??
