Which one is hardier? Share your experience, please.

Bartlett's are hardier, IME. Eat just about anything from the get go.

I agree - that said I do find the dispars to be sweeter fish, more tolerant of other fishes in their territory

Once established, I have found dispars to be just as scrappy as bartlett...it just takes longer to show up, IME. Ask CarlC about that one ;)

I would consider Ignitus over Dispars. More hardy. My Barlett's
are pigs and probably the hardiest of the three.

Among each other or with other non anthias fish or both?

Well, I think CarC just had it with other dispars (maybe other anthias?). My dispar male used to fight with my tomini tang. I mean, full out fight :eek2:

Don't get me wrong...those first 4 months....totally peaceful...but once *really* settled in, he got quite scrappy.

Fighting with the tang! Sorry, probably wasn't funny at the time..

I only had dispars for a year (lost most of tank in a power outage) but never saw anything like that. Any squabbles were amongst themselves.

Maybe they aren't so "sweet" after all :D
