thanks to cubsare1 I found exactly what I was originally looking for - a powerstrip w/ individual switches for each outlet but that got me thinking about a few options and I'd really like any input that I could get on this.

Originally I was thinking of going with two of these -

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=914023&CatId=1284

Now I can't decide if I should go that route or instead with this custom setup -

http://www.saltyzoo.com/PhotoAlbum/page.php?urlStr=/saltyzoo/180/equipment/010707

But if I built the custom "powerstrip" like the 2nd link there, I would do dual switches rather and control each individual outlet.

Since this would be a new experience for me in terms of the type of project (I have some very experience electrical help though), Im just wondering if someone could let me know what the pro's and con's might be to either of these and in an aquarium setup in general, which option would be a better choice? I do have quite a few pieces of hardware that require plugs but when I do maintenance or feeding, etc, I like to turn off various pieces of equipment.

Thanks in advance!

I can't use the rack mount powerstrips for this project. I looked at them originally but I have no feasible way to mount them.
