I've had a BTA in my 75g tank for 3 weeks. Thought it was pink with yellow tips. When my MH come on nem moves out into the light. When they go off and just the dual actinics are on it gets a little smaller. When just the LEDs are on it completely retracts and hides inside a hole in the rock.

Now I see two tenticles with green. Was this a bleached nem that's going to green? I didn't think so at first because it likes to come out into MH lighting.

Thats the problem I am haveing with my gbtas. The color looks good until the mhs come on and they open up.When they are small they look green, when they get bigger they look like they have lost most of their color.

how many watts are your MH fixtures? from the looks of the picture they are pretty strong. high lighting usually bleaches them out.

150 watt 10k. I bought him this way. Here's a shot from before I got him. He usually sits on top of the big rock on the right under the light not hidding from it.

My GBTA got a little bleached on the ends when I replaced some old MH bulbs, but it didn't look like yours. It was not all tentacles and it wasn't so even. It looked kind of, well, frosted on the ends.

I think yours is just natural coloration. Nice anemone.

Thanks, I always check a couple of local stores and they usually have plain ordinary nems and then a few weeks ago one of them had him.

it may not be a bleached Green BTA. It may just be a brown BTA with some green in it. Just like some RBTA's have some green to them. Usually bleached green BTA's look neon green, so I'm pretty sure you have brown instead of green
