cheato concerns

i bought some cheato, and i am alittle concerned about it. This is the first time i have used cheato so i dont know how it is suppose to react. But it has been in my fuge since yesterday, and it is still not floating, it sunk to the bottom and hasnt moved as of yet.

Anything to worry about?

Well if you think cheato moves on its own, it doesn't. Cheato, while in the refug, should rotate continuously so that each part of it comes into contact with light. To help it move around, try to agitate it with the return output to the fug.

I'm not sure what sort of performance you were expecting, but Chaeto don't dance..


You can set it spinning with flow, personally I just leave it to do its thing sat in the sump. Maybe turn it once a week with tongs.
