I have two 10 month old false percs that will not host. I REALLY want a clown swimming in the BTA that I have. Has anyone introduced another clown into a tank that already has a pair in it????? I would love to add a Maroon or black and white. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE clowns enjoying an anemone!!!rollface:

If I were you I would wait... Eventually they will host it (or they should...) mine always host eventually - but it didn't take them as long... Have you tried feeding the tank right into the anemone so they go there first?

As for multiple clowns... I wouldn't I tried it with 2 ocellairs pairs (one orange pair and one black) and they fought... GSM would definitely fight with your current clowns. It's just not suggested...

That would be a bad idea, IMO, especially in a 65. Odds are that you would end up with some dead clowns.

Other's may claim that it works for them, but unless it has been that way for more then a year, I would put much stock in that.

I have a large pair of B/W Ocellaris, and a small pair of Regular Ocellaris in a 90g.

They get along pretty well, and they got used to each other during QT(8weeks).

They have been in the 90 for 6 weeks. If they start showing aggression I will move the smaller pair.

Give them time to find the BTA, it may take a while, but the feeding trick works pretty well. Another option is to move whatever is hosting them in close proximity to the BTA.

 What if the next pair don't want to be hosted either. Maroons are evil, I don't think my 75 is big enough for just her. Well at least she doesn't seem to think so.

My clowns stay so tight in my anemones, I can barely even see them.

I didn't do a build thread yet. I just kinda threw it all together in a few weeks. I will get more detailed pics and start a thread soon.

I saw yours. Looks nice. I'll check out your thread.

Very good point, my female B&W O is just as bad. Was doing a WC last night and she had to of bitten me 50 times. Completely fearless.

my female rods is an expert marksman with her tail she knocks chunks of food out of my tongs before they get to her anemone

i keep a pair of cinnamons and a pair of ocs in a 240...i wouldn't attempt it in anything less than a 6 foot tank, and even that...i'd consider pushing it.

there isn't any aggression, but without a doubt, it's messed with their social order. the female cinnamon has broken up the oc pairing for weeks at a time on several occasions leading to truly odd clutch behavior (female cinnamon lays clutch, male oc fertilizes...then the oc pair tends to the clutch until the cinnamon eats them)

just my experience, but cinnamons, tomatoes, and maroons will dive into a bta without a second thought...percs/ocs may or may not ever go into one.

I had a pair of clarkii's in with my pair of ocellaris in a 75 gal. I had to trade in the clarkii's due to over aggression towards other tank mates. Especially towards my ocellaris. So they had to go. IMO I wouldn't do it unless it is a very large tank.
