Anyone know if it is possible to mod an ozonizer. I got one off of someone dirt cheap but it just has an on/off switch. It has a 300mg/hr output which is waaay to much for my 75 gal. I wondered if there is a way that I can make or get a regulator to control the output?

Variable air flow with a cheap valve.

run it to your skimmer and run it full blast. Put a timmer on it and run it 30min - 2hr a day.

Thanks, I was thinking about the airflow valve and the timer also. I wasn't sure if restricting the air flow coming out of it would do anything to the unit. I guess I should invest in an orp controller or meter and then I could use either of those methods.

would a dimmer work?

Nope. The lamp types are UV lamps (flourescent), and the CD units would need a variac.

Just regulate the amount of air going through the unit as H20ENG says. Even if the unit is capable of producing that much ozone, if you don't pull the ozone out it will not be able to produce it since it needs the flow of oxygen to create the ozone from.
