Flow for SPS in a 90 Gallon

Hey everyone, I currently have 2xkoralia 4's, 2xkoralia 1's, and 2x flare nozzles. I plan keeping mainly sps and soft corals w/ a few shrooms, leathers, and lps. I know I have enough lighting for the sp but i'm not quite sure about the flow. I was thinking about getting 2xkoralia 4's instead of 3's but I thought that if i got the 4's that the fish would be blown all over the place. Hopefully someone can help me w/ this.

for a 90 gal you should have a flow of between 1800 and 3600 for lps and softies. Sps prefer alot more than that

I would go with three koralia number 4's

The fish are used to it and like flow--my tangs let the flow carry them away and then swim back through it as if hamsters in an exercise wheel

The koralias are easy to direct so just make sure that alot of flow is directed to the top of the reef where your sps corals are and place your lps and softies near the bottom with much less flow

In comparison on my 120 I have 5 koralias---three number 4's and two number 2's on an interval timer--with my return my flow is around 5500 gph

Hmmm. How about putting a koralia 4 in the back or 2xkoralia 2's. Would that work?

It should work, 2 x #2's = 1200 gph. 1 x #4's = 1200 gph.

I'm fixing to set up a 90 gal. bowfront, and I think I'm going to go with a wave2k wavemaker (center unit). Does anyone have any experience with the wave2k?

I had a wave2k for about 6 months and sold it, replacing it with a Tunze wavebox. I found the wake2K to be noisy and unreliable. There is a chaser that moves the plate up and down a plastic (probably delrin) shaft that is prone to wear and breakage. Wave2K has good customer service and will replace it with stainless steel, but then it produces more noise even still. I did tell the buyer about all the problems I experienced, but he still wanted it. The Tunze is inaudible to me unless I place my ear on the glass beside it. I cleaned the impeller after 4 months which was a breeze. I need to do it again soon. I've had no problems with it. I would highly recommend it over the wave2k, however it is about twice as much. For me it is worth the price difference.

I believe the timer was 30 bucks

Hmm well I already have 4 koralias and enough spaghetti of wires behind the tank already. I might consider an interval timer for the 75 gallon that i'll be getting soon though.

if that is the case with the existing koralia wires---then why not put two or three on the interval timer
It has space for three intervals and three standard pH's

The wires for everything is spaghetti. Right now I have three powercenters. I don't really know though how an interval time will help w/ flow though. I run all powerheads 24/7 except during direct feeding. pH's???????? I'm a little confused now.
