I have never used a chiller for a BioCube before. But is seems that I'm going to need one. Here in the chicago area the past 2 days the outside temp was 75 deg & the bioCube temp was 81. I hate to see what the tank will get to when our outside temps get to 100 deg.

Does anyone know anything about this IceProbe ???
Or what chiller would be good to use. Any help would be great

Thanks

The iceprobe is a thermal electric cooler. You apply a current to it, and one side gets cool. Water is then pumped into a housing, with one side of the housing touching cooler. Heat then transfers from water to cooler. The advantage of iceprobe is that it is small, can fit inside some canopys. Doesnt cool water as good as a chiller. If you only need to cool tank a couple of degrees then iceprobe is probably ok, if you need more cooling power get one of the jbj mini chillers. I actually would recommend the JBJ chiller. I had heat issues, connected one of these JBJ chillers and havent had a problem since.
