How Much Light

What i got is 240g tank 96"L 24"W 24"D and i have 4 250w hqi's but im wondering how many T-5 bulbs and what wattage i would need to keep sps im looking to get rid of the hqi' due to heat and electric bill thanks for any input

I would say you would want 2 8 to 10 bulb 4 foot long fixtures for that tank, so you would end up with 16 to 20 54 watt bulbs to get good light penetration into a 2 foot deep and 2 foot wide tank for sps corals.

Personally I say stick with the HQI setup, I don't think you will end up saving to much power with the T5's
