I've been using the SMTP with my google for a while now gmail163.google.com

But that no longer seems to work

I can't get an SMTP from my ISP (Qwest) without paying another $10 a month or something for an email account.

So my question is, who has gotten a third party email service to work and what settings are you using ie: Auth, smtp, etc...

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I did a quick search using "free smtp account" and it returned quite a few sites which report "free" email via SMTP. I cannot tell you anything about any of them but you could take a scan and see if they would meet your needs.

Thanks

You can use Gmail, you will just have to set Authentication.

In the controller you will need to change the SMTP port to 587, and turn on authentication in the controller. Use your entire email address as the account, and your email password.

I just tested this, it works fine.

If you are trouble with your ISPs smtp server, then setup a free email account gawab.com as I know that their smtp server works correctly .
