View Full Version : Shelf life of Salifert test kits?

We moved houses and my salifert test kits were "lost" for a while. I found them but they were in the garage for 12 mos or so. They were subject to whatever temp and humidity fluctuations that occured there. Anyone know if they are still good (reliable)?

unlikely, im not 100% sure but 6 months is about right, im not saying they are no good after 6 months but believe this is the time salifert guarentee them for

i would imagine as long as you keep them away from light and extreme heat, they should last more than a year. the titration solutions are often acids or bases which are very stable.

My Salifert test kit has an expiry date of Jan. 2009, so, I'd say about a year maybe.
