The LFS I work at has a wave box that has started malfunctioning.
he has had it for about a year.
I beleive while it was plugged in wires became disconnected. now it doesnt work. the pump light doesnt come on and when first plugged in the 2 pulse lights (red and green) come on for a second or 2 then I believe just the green light stays on. the pump will pulse for a split second every so often but not enough to even move water maybe just a 16th of a turn..
any clues or how do you reset the brain. or does this need a return and repair

I had that problem with one of mine. It might be the voltage chip that is not making good contact. I had to wedge a toothpick beside it to make it get good contact. It works fine now but has a toothpick stuck in the transformer:lol: If the light on the chip is not lit bright, this might be your problem;)

saltwaterfishlover,

Do you know what model pump they have? In July we switched to 6261, the older one was 6260. They work a bit different. Redox is refering to the 6261, that doesn't apply to 6260.

OK, do you ever get an alarm? I suspect the motor has a defect or is damaged in some way or the controller got wet or a wire is loose inside.

alarm I dont think so but not sure.... wet probably good posibility being it is in a LFS subject to floods tho it was at least 18" above the floor (subject to potential falls) loose wire probably another good posibility.

what you recomend? clean thoroughly box up and sent to you? (clean so it dont stink)

I will not hold you to it but potential cost of repair?
thanks

It sounds like worst case the repair would run about $100. Send it in.
