I bought an SLR retro kit from reefgeek.com a while back and it was listed as 4x24w T5. It's wired now and works great. I'm thinking of changing tanks to a 40L. Each ballast has 1x24, 2x24, 1x39, and 2x39 listed on it. I'm assuming that I could just buy 4 39w bulbs and new reflectors and the ballasts should work right? Otherwise I'll be buying a new fixture... just thought this would be easier. TIA.

the 1919 in your avatar needs an ammo can holder that mounts on the pintle.

I got one that mounts the can on the side plate for when I use the A6 kit, but the can won't clear the tripod with it on there.

if you have two ballasts you should be all good

Thanks guys. Yeah I have 2 of the ballasts. It'll be a ~$200 upgrade vs. $300+... amazing what the bulbs and reflectors cost!
