Hi, I have a 200 gallon tank with a Majestic angel, Scribbled angel, some type of yellow butterfly, a pair of clowns, a Potter's angel, and a royal gramma. All that I want to add is a Red Sea Regal and my tank will be complete. I had a Regal a few months ago that was sent to me much larger (7 inches) than the 4 or 5 inch fish that was suppose to come and he was really beautiful with a sweet dispostion but would not eat anything. I tried every food anyone could immagine.
Does anyone know where I can get a Red Sea Regal that will eat? It seems that every place on line has been out of them for a really long time. Don't know if they have a season, or are just not being brought into the trade much. Does anyone know? My current angels get along fine and they got along with the large Regal that died because it would not eat. No place in Houston gets Regals in their stores. Do most Regals not eat in captivity? What is the best size to get one that can learn to eat? Thanks, Lesley

For a while its been really hard to get stuff from the red sea
You might have to get a maldives regal it will have the yellow chest also. I usually recommend the 3 to 4 inch ones. Put them with some chromis and it will usually eat in a week.
Good luck

I just got a Juvi Red Sea Regal from Phishybusiness. He is eating mysis & brine out of the bag. I posted pics on their sponsor forum. Serdar does an awesome job ensuring that the specimens are eating prior to shipping. Send him a PM, I think he will be getting more soon, but they go really fast.

Thanks everyone. I would love to get a small one if I could find one and I don't think my 5 inch Majestic or 5 inch Regal would bother it.....my problem is with my Potter's angel who likes to bully new fish. He tried to beat up on a new butterfly fish that is nearly twice his size until he figured out after a few days that it was not afraid of him. What do you think this 2 and a half inch Potter's angel would do to a 2 to 3 and a half inch Regal? I am afraid of what he might do!

They occasionally have them at BlueZooAquatics, just register to be notified, they have great fish there.
