My 65g about a year and a half old now. HO T5's and 36g fuge run Ecosystem method and my softy's thrive. Looks like a garden and has to be maintained like one as well:)

I run a big skimmer; rated for a 300g. Even Ling Sy recommends a skimmer now. Mud based substrate, cheato and fuge lights on 24/7. Everyone I know that runs this way has had a lot of success with corals.

I have to really laugh..."almost to a plague...":) Man don't I know it, my Xenia has to be fragged each weekend but when kept in check it sure looks great. My my long stem toadstool is a monster now and had a disc no bigger then a silver dollar when I introduced it a little more then just a year ago! But it is a stunner for sure!

You're tank sure looks nice though...keep up what you're doing as you're getting success.

Yea, like 8! It's funny now that I look at this picture it was taken just before lights out and you know fish, they have great internal clocks and know when it's time to get ready for bed!

To the left is a yellow sun cup coral open because I was target feeding dinner. When lights go out the polyps extend almost 2 inches and I kid you not. They are very happy.

In the center is a tri-color open brain that actually has some orange in it which is almost impossible to find in a coral. This was a real find I got to tell you and under the actinics is just spectacular.

And to the right is a green open brain about the size of a small pancake!
