Single End/Double End MH Bulbs?

Hey Everyone ... I'm new here, just starting out in Salt, and I've been looking at Metal Halide lighting ... just curious what the differences are between the two types of bulbs ... some are screw in style, some are double ended with clips .... what are the key differences? Intensity? Price? Life?
