RD/DI waste water

I have recently purchase a 4 stage RO/DI. I find that it produces waste water at an alarming rate....

Can I just block the waste line off?
What bad will it do?

I tried it for 10min or so and the water coming out is still at 0 TDS.

don't block your waste line, i use mine for other things, washing cloths ,plants, etc

Never block your waste water line... typically Ro/DI will waste 4 parts of water to every 1 part pure water.

If you block the waste line, for some period of time you will get an increase in the amount of purified water produced by the system. However, you'll end up ruining the RO membrane - scale will build up inside the membrane rather than being flushed away in the waste water.
