The white spots are probably velvet. But what the heck are the three black spots on the pectoral fin? She has two more on the other pectoral and one on the caudal.

Please help!

Lymphocystis , all of it.

Not black ich or lympho ... can you get a better picture.

Its common for fish to show black blemishes after an encounter with some corals/anemones' - if this applies to your situations then it will clear up on its own.

All the white is lymph and the dark areas are probably lymph as well. The nodules will frequently shrink and turn dark before they go away. I'm as absolutely sure of this as I can be with just a photo to look at. If the dark areas are not nodular, your guess is as good as mine.

Thanks for all the reply's. I will try and get a better pic today when the lights come on. I was really hoping for Lymphocystis. The black spots have been growing in size but not in numbers. I've seen a couple more of the white ones here and there.

Should I be worried? I've been feeding mysis soaked in garlic and Marine C three or four times a day.

According to the trouble shooter I need to take my fish and put it on a soak towel and manually scrape the lymph and then daub the infections with iodine.

There is no way I'm doing that :eek2:

I've heard that lymph goes away on its own. Right?
