What can I use to get algae off acrylic without scratching it?

I use an algae magnent or my algae scrubber found at any lfs or online store.

I use the scrapper that has a red plastic insert. Pretty common. The plastic part dulls quickly, but just use a standard file to sharpen it up and you can use it for years. Just be sure to be very careful not to get sand built up in the blade. If you do you will start to scratch and you need to refile the blade. Just make sure you get the blades that are made specifically for acrylic, the glass blades will scratch it to all hell.

They make scrapers, algae pads, and magnets just for acrylic. Just make sure the product says it is for acrylic....Be careful if you use a magnet, easy to get a small piece of sand or whatever stuck in there that will scratch.
