Spoke to Victor today and went ahead and ordered a Kd200 I should have it in a few weeks. He said I was the first to order a calcium reactor in the U.S. I'll keep you posted...

Hi,
We have instaled and run all teh ATB Ca reactors including the 200.
All of them perform very stable, keeping Ca and Kh(Alc.) at the desired level with an min. maintance. If You can put an Co2 controler than You will setup the reactor very easy, just set up pH at 6.4 or 6.8, depending on media.
As usual The production quality is of the highest level

Well here it is I haven't installed it yet but the build quality is great, if i had critique it I though the base plate is a little thin compared to how the rest of the reactor is built.http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk134/jayybird1/Copy3ofCopyofCopyofP1090247.jpg

That is really nice :D
Pretty big too!! I can't wait to see it set up!!!
What type of media does Anton/Victor recommend you run in that bad boy?

We have been testing the efluent of this reactor, on 60 ml per hour, 40 bubbles per minute, 36 kH, woow, were very impresed :). Not sure Tropic Marin test can catch this high values corectly but for sure the ractor is a monster

Boris, what type of media are you running?

I'm going to get it installed in the next couple of days I'm going to use schuran or gen x media.

Jim_s, I,m using big crushed coral, similiar to so called Schuran media, but not so unfirm , there are a lot of shelss, crushed fragments of corals etc.
I'm sorry for a late replay

Jim, for some reason, I cannt see any new posts on the ATB forum. I get email messages that new people have posted but cannot see the new ones. The latest post I see is from gsmguy on 6/22. I can't even post on any threads on the atb forum. Any ideas why?

That is a sheet load of Co2.
jayybird

It recycles the CO2 like the schuran reactor. I readjusted the CO2 after the video.

The recycle doesn't go through the bubble counter does it?
Just curious as to the design elements. Very cool looking!

Just curious as to the design elements. Very cool looking! No It goes from the top of the reactor back to the pump. There is a piece of pvc that extends down from the top of the reactor through the bell, it has a small plate at the end with a hole just above it for the effluent the excess co2 passes it collects in the top and is recycled back to the pump.

awesome. That way the co2 doesn't directly go into the effluent. It gets recycled to help dissolve calcium. Am I understanding this correctly?

Does the bubble counter self retain water levels? Or do you have to top off the water or fluid manually?
