Hello. Im new here, and im glad that im member.
I bought lately, a pulsing xenia, and there is two pieces of this coral attached on the rock.
It gets very hard (like stone) out of the water, but soft like mushroom into the water, with green small tentacles and a pink mouth. I tried to feed it with a small piece of shrimp and it eats. What kind of lps is?http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/518/172111ID.jpg

Nice hitchhiker! Eventaully when they get big enough they will break loose. You may even get new babies from the stem. : )

They detach and move to the sand when they get bigger. Very nice one! I wish it was mine. Have fun with it. Do I see a second one in the back?

Nice, I have two very similar to yours that hitchhiked in on an open brain coral, and am about to break it off again to see if it will sprout a new one (Started off as only one). When they get big enough, you can break it off and you can glue to an upside down frag plug stem to make a little mushroom with base. Keep the seed rock and see how many you can farm out of it.
