Does anyone know what happened to these? There were supposed to be the new thing because of the bubble diffuser and all. I have a 120 for my 40BDR and I think it rocks.

For sure they are very nice and they will continue to be produced by Octopus for some countries !

But Octopus has a new line of NW and DNW and they are reaching US market now and it seems that Octopus distributor in USA will invest a some time in the new NW and DNW.

Do you have pictures of your PS after "break in". I think that a LOT of guys would like to see, including myself

You can use the NEW AIR INTAKE at your PS with NO mods.
Large venturi, large volute and for sure your PS will be even better.
Just compare the OLD air intake and the NEW air intake.

Please take a look, if you can not find them in US i can send you :

I'm DEFINITELY interested in the new air intake.

Probably you can find it at the stores that Coralvue supply in USA because it's the VERY SAME air intake of the new NW series.

If you can't find it locally just send me a PM and i can send to you using air mail.

What about updated pics of your external PS-120 running ?
Would you mind to post some ?

Thx

Here is a picture I took trying to show the LMIII. I think you can see some dark green foam... I can take more when I get home.

Marcello, CV discontinued these guys but they are still going to import them and sell them to another company and they will just be sold as another brand. Not recognized by the "Octo" name anymore.

Thats in the US anyhow :D

Luke,

Do you have any idea why? I thought the diffuser was supposed to be a bonus. None of the new skimmer they seem to be producing have this...

Nice !!

I think that you can increase the water level just a bit ... try to start the foam head at half inch above the base of the neck.

Will skim little bit more wet ... but for sure more production.

I know a fellow here that goes to Texas once per month for business purposes and i will talk to him if he can take you air intake.

With the new air intake your PS will make you even more pleased !!

Luke

changing names ?? for what ??

Everybody know that's an Octopus product !!!

Anyway, i don't know what happens betwenn Octopus and Coralvue. For sure they can understand each other.

I do !!

We import Octopus from China and ReefLux and Lumen Bright from Coralvue, no problems with these guys ... always helpful.

is searching at Octopus distributors to check if they have in stock already.

Will be VERY difficult for me to ship new air intakes from Brazil to USA.

Probably will arrive at USA stores soon,

apparently they saw it as a failed design.

Not a failed design. They took a back seat in production due to the New Octo Extremes. I heard that they will be available again in the fall.

I was wondering cause mine puts out some REALLY nice gunk. I couldn't image why they wouldn't try to sell more of them. They are the a little more expensive than the NW models, but with the added diffuser.

GREAT skimmer in my book!

Mine runs like a champ too! But like many others, I'm always looking for a way to push it further.

I haven't had any success in finding this misterious, non-USA available volute either.

Call CoralVue which is the source of the Octopus skimmers and see about the parts availablity.

Tried that, their response was:
"OK, I see now.

The volutes you are referring to are for a different model skimmer than the one you have. This is a picture of the Octopus Pro.

David"

I sent them a copy of the picture above and they seem to believe that it is only for the OPS-300. I even sent a link to a vendor who stocks the exact model. Wish I had a part number or something more to go on.

I was hoping Marcello could have snuck in a few "under the radar" to us, but no such luck. :(
