just looked in tank the other day and saw a worm(orangish body and white "legs").couldnt get it out...but then i became paranoid and searched thru my tank with a flashlight for about 3hrs and didnt see it or anymore...except i found a bigger one in my overflow section at the bottom.sorry i cant get any good pictures,they all turn out fuzzy and you cant tell what the pic is of.any ideas?

thanks captain,i do believe it is a bristleworm.its said to be reef safe but it does look menacing.thank you for your timely response,thats one of the things that has kept me away from this site.ie 50+ views and not 1 feedback/reply.thanks again.

how big was it? Most bristle worms don't get very big....But I have two in my tank that just keep growing and growing, One of them is about 10 inches, the other is around 8 inches now.
Now those things will scare you if you're poking around with a flashlight !

bristle worms are great for your tank--a good addition to your cleanup crew
are you saying that on RC you made 50 posts without a reply--I find that incredibly hard to believe---what forms were you posting in--the new to reef form is heavly moderated by the pros and that is one of the things they look for---unanswered posts

no, I think what he's saying is that he made a post, had 50+ people view the post, and not one of them made a reply to it.

okay gotta yah--but over how long a time period---like I mentioned above--usually a moderator will step in at that point if no one has answered
and I one sees that happening --that is a good time to "bump" your post
