Hi guys, I have a question. Right now, I am using 2 CPR overflow boxes being powered by 2 Toms Aqualifter pumps to bring water down to my sump. I am using 2 overflow boxes in opposite ends of my display tank to help skim the surface and incase one overflow box clogs and looses suction, at least the other overflow is there. If I wanted to stop using the CPR overflows with lifter pumps, what other options do I have? I was thinking I could drill holes in the glass and use bulkheads and a strainer and just use gravity, but is this an eficient way to bring water down to the sump. Any suggestions for getting water down to the sump without using the overflow boxes and lifter pump would be great.

If you can, drilling is the best option. Check the DIY forum and this link for info on how to do it: http://www.momsfishsupply.com/drilling_video.html
If you dont drill, get rid of the CPRs and replace with reliable U Tube overflows such as the Lifereefs.
