purple worm on my tricolor?

i have a weird dark purple worm that was hanging out on my tricolor, the one in my avatar. it was attached to the acro and waving in the current. do i throw it away? or what?

dont know what it could be then. it blended in so well with the color tips of the acro that i couldnt figure out if i was just seeing things or what. i cant believe how purple it is though
