Taking my time setting up my 29 gallon, mainly due to limited resources . Tank has been set up about 1 1/2 months and I have pretty much all of my main equipment except good lighting and a skimmer.

For the lighting I'm planning on going with:

30" HO T5 total of 48 watts dim. (4.25"w - 1.5"h - 30"l)

30" PC 1x65 actinic / daylight fixture dim. (5.25"w - 2.5"h - 30"l)

Total wattage would be 113, plus the PC fixture has blue LED's which I like.

Eventually I want to have some low-moderate light corals but for now just fish and inverts. Would this setup work well for zoa's, mushrooms, brain corals, anemones, and things in this class?

Price for both including shipping is $160

Would anyone else use this? Is it a good deal? Is there something better in this price range?

Thanks

see if you can get a t5 with 4 bulbs in a 30 inch fixture
you would be better off i can find any but i am sure they are out there
maybe post in the lighting forum
if you would go with a 36 it opens up for so much more and better lighting options

thanks for the advice, I was trying to go cheap but I'll probably be better without having to upgrade later.
